Letter From The President

Fellow Students,

This semester marks the third year of our fledgling program, and I am excited to be a part of building this program to become the best that it can be. With our growth and enrichment in mind, this years eboard has set high standards for our recruits this year.

Speaking of recruits, I would like to welcome our new Mentors and Mentees for the 2008-2009 school year! I thank you for your commitment to this program, and I look forward to creating an enriching and rewarding program for us all.

Humbly,
Raphaël Charles Bosse
MUSE President

Next Event

MUSE Tailgate (November 22st, 2008)
Come support your football team! On Saturday, we will have a MUSE tailgate before the football game against Louisiana at Monroe. We will most likely be the only ones with an orange truck, s
o you cannot miss it! Come tailgate with us; free food will be provided! Go Panthers!

Past Events

MUSE Pairing Ceremony (September 20th, 2008)
During the pairing ceremony, everyone was finally paired with their mentor/mentee! For pictures of the pairing, click here. Then we all went to the tailgate before the football game. Every one was happy with their pairings, and I am sure every one will have a fantastic year!

MUSE Mixer (September 13th, 2008)
Our first annual MUSE SpeedDating was a great success! Our potential mentors and mentees entered a speed dating-like contest, in which they talked to all other mentees/mentors for a few minutes, and then rated their top choices. The turnout was awesome, and everyone had a great time!

Past 2007 Events

Gingerbread House Madness (December 1, 2007)
Thanks to the efforts of our lovely Anna Scharnagl our first Annual Gingerbread House Madness was a success! Anna made the dough herself (which is the best tasting gingerbread anyone who attended had ever had!) and the madness ensued. We had one Tokyo Tower, and three houses. Each were deliciously creative and fantastic, but the blue ribbon (if there was one) would have to go to Tokyo Tower! Not only was it original, it told an interesting story. Thanks to everyone who attended!

Pumpkin Carving (October 20, 2007)
Mentor Anna Scharnagl opened her house to her fellow Muselings, for a day of picking, paying, and piercing! It was the first of our hopefully annual event of Pumpkin Carving. Several Mentors and Mentees attended and carved spooky and somewhat silly pumpkin heads for the upcoming Halloween celebration. Here's hoping that they don't rot beforehand!

Study Time! Finals 2008!

Well... the year seems to have come and gone in a flash, and it's time to buckle down and start studying for those finals! This semester's events have been a blast, and the e-board thanks everyone for making the program so successful. We're winding down the program for this semester to give everyone time to study and finish up their last projects. If you need help, remember to contact your Mentor/Mentee or the e-board.

Good Luck!
